Alumni Emblem - Request for Designs!

Friends of Ruth Asawa School of the Arts (FOSOTA) is launching the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts Alumni Association, starting with welcoming the Class of 2020 upon graduation. 

We are working on an alumni emblem and are hoping to incorporate the Asawa SOTA mascot - a dragon- created by our soon-to-be alums.

Asawa SOTA seniors: Can you help? 

What we need:

  • A dragon icon (line art / flat / black and white)

  • Simple enough to appear very small (say, one inch) without losing detail.

  • Do not include text/typography (we will add separately)

  • Perhaps evokes Asawa SOTA or art in some way

  • See these Google image searches for inspiration: Image Search A and Image Search B

  • Aiming for ideas by May 8 2020

  • Send questions and ideas to Jen Burke

Feel free to work collaboratively or individually. This is not a contest; everyone who participates will receive credit for being on the Asawa SOTA Alumni Association Emblem Design Committee, regardless of the direction we end up working with.
