"Fall for the Arts" Annual Appeal - THANK YOU!
Hello Wonderful Asawa SOTA Community,
This year, the SFUSD stipulated that The Ruth Asawa School of the Arts must organize and implement the very important work of fundraising for our Artists in Residence programming without the long time assistance of a third party to raise the significant funds needed to maintain our robust arts education. And so, the "Fall for the Arts" Ruth Asawa School of the Arts Annual Appeal was launched in September.
I am thrilled to report that the Annual Appeal has come to a close, and together, we have raised a projected $300,000 in support of our arts programming. With no overhead, 100% of your donations will go towards ensuring every Art Department is fully staffed for the 2020/21 school year. More importantly and more excitingly, is that we nearly doubled our participation to 65% this year. That is AMAZING!
Thank you to all who donated! While you will no longer be receiving communications about the Annual Fund this year, the link to make a gift will remain active and it's never too late to make a donation HERE.
Our next steps are to launch a Fundraising Committee to take up the work from here. We have a few interested folks so far and all are welcome to join. Please let me know if you are interested in learning more about the Fundraising Committee.
