ART DEPARTMENT CONNECTORS 2024-2025

The essential role of the Arts Department Connector is to build community and inclusivity, thereby helping every family feel welcome. Each Art Department has one or more volunteers who act as a communication link for the families. Each Department Connector and family has access to a PTSA-run listserv for their department which is linked to on the Main Community Forum’s home page.

The Department Connectors are organized through the PTSA with the help of the Community Connector/Volunteer Coordinator. The Community Connector supports the DCs by providing a timeline of communication, communications samples/templates, and supporting department volunteer efforts. The DC also works closely with the Volunteer Coordinator on volunteer outreach.

NOTE: The Art Department Director uses district communication platforms to contact families about curriculum, course expectations, grades, and other issues that pertain to your student’s art education. The Director sometimes will partner with the Department Connector to share information about scheduling of rehearsals, shows, and events.
