Initiatives
Ruth Asawa School of the Arts PTSA is a registered 501 c Non Profit. TIN/ 94-3050408. Our school is a public San Francisco Unified School District institution, however, our unique structure is funded through a variety of sources.
Though this site is dedicated to the PTSA, we work in tandem with administration, the district, Friends and Alumni of Ruth Asawa School of the Arts and private donors /donor advised funds to ensure seamless support for every student on their path.
PTSA Initiatives
Each fall, the PTSA raises funds that fund 50% of this signature program, putting 100+ working artists in classrooms all year long.
Yearly goal: 300 k
❋ PTSA Operating Funds
Supporting student life every day, from audition day to graduation. The main funding source is our ASAWA AFTER DARK Event + Auction.
Yearly goal: 130 k
❋ DepartmentsOur 14 departments are funded by SFUSD/administration, and sometimes do their own fundraising. Each department necessarily has different needs.
❋ Friends and Alumni of Ruth Asawa School of the ArtsA fiscal partnership that works with Keystone projects, McAteer farm, and larger department/student-driven on campus projects.
